Congratulations to Angela Frantz for being April’s Athlete of the Month!! Her friend Linda had to drag her here to start with us but she has quickly become one of our most dedicated clients in our community! She hails from the country to the north and loves a good Molson from time to time “eh”.
Angela started with us about 8 months ago coming 2x per week and incorporated rowing/cardio on her off days. She has lost close to 17lbs and has dropped her body fat by approximately 5% but she’s not satisfied yet!! Angela has bumped her frequency up in May and has upgraded to 5 workouts per week. Keep bringing that spunky attitude, smile, and filthy mouth on a daily basis and watch the transformation continue! Congrats Angela!

What did you do before joining MTS in regards to working out?
Pole dancing.
How long have you been with MTS?
Around 8 months.
What’s your favorite workout/exercise at MTS?
Stretching.
What’s you least favorite workout/exercise at MTS?
The Bike. Who decided that putting all your weight on a seat 1.5” wide then grinding on it for an extended time was a good idea?
How is MTS different from other methods of training you may have tried in the past?
Paul & Andy are the difference. They take the exercise seriously, but not themselves. They keep it fun but focused, and always safe.
How has MTS helped you attain your fitness goals or athletic endeavors?
I came to support a friend; I didn’t have any goals. I might have held a small hope that I’d feel a little better in my own skin, but I knew that past attempts at structured exercise failed miserably for me. I decided to continue because I was NEVER made to feel too old or heavy or slow or inexperienced (even though that’s how I saw myself). My pace was and is always treated as perfectly normal. When I wanted to do more per week it was for me, because I feel better now that I’m working out, not because I felt “less than” or had to live up to any expectations.
What’s your favorite cheat meal/snack?
It’s not cheating if everyone consents.
Advice to those just starting out?
Be vulnerable and honest. They’ll tailor your workout what you really need, not what you think you need or what you want others to think you need.
